EL DORADO LODGE is located in the middle of a magnificent natural setting, with the Corriente River flowing just a few hundred yards away. The lodge is part of the Estancia EL DORADO, one of the most traditional cattle ranches in the Corrientes Province.
Carlos Sanchez, owner of both the lodge and the ranch, will be your host. His natural friendliness will rapidly put you at ease. Carlos's family has a long tradition in ranching in the Corrientes Province. His grandfather founded the ranch at the beginning of the last century and named it EL DORADO after the schools of dorado that hunt in large quantities in the nearby waters.

Carlos opened EL DORADO to small numbers of guest-fishermen just a few years ago when he decided to share with visitors his deep knowledge of the natural wonders of the region.
Apart from experiencing world-class fishing, you'll get a feel for life in a traditional Argentine "Estancia" (ranch). The lodge is extremely comfortable. The double and triple rooms are all equipped with air conditioning and private bathrooms. You will enjoy your meals in a vast dining room. In the evening you will be able to relax in the lodge gallery and enjoy the sunset or watch the Estancia’s "gauchos" in action on their horses in nearby pastures while you zip a refreshing drink.

The 3-course meals are hearty and built around salads, pasta, local specialties and, of course, the legendary "asado" (barbecue) made of the tastiest beef, lamb and chicken. Together with the meals, you’ll have the opportunity to discover Argentine wines and understand why they are rapidly becoming world-famous. Breakfast consist of bacon, eggs, a good variety of jam, bread, toasts and cookies. All this plus coffee, orange juice and tea will give you enough strength to fight your first dorados of the morning. While fishing, you'll be able to refresh yourself with cool soft or alcoholic drinks or treat yourself with a snack.

You can experience it all at EL DORADO LODGE in the Corrientes Province in Argentina.
